WHAT
Saskatoon chefs put their best dish forward to warm your heart at a soup cook-off! Everyone is invited to taste sample any and all soups and vote for their favorite! The winning chefs will be announced at the end of the event. A portion of the proceeds from this event go to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

PROFESSIONAL SOUP COOK OFF
Beginner chefs compete against each other for the honour to move on to the Professional Chef Warm the Heart Cook-off.
When: Sunday, January 27
Time: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $5.00/person
Winner! WinterShines amateur chef soup competition - first and second place were just one point apart, that extra point going to Stuart Schindel and his wild boar goulash. Runner up was Tia Fahlman and her Asian noodle soup. Schindel competes again in the professional chefs’ soup-off at WinterShines on Wednesday, January 30 at 5:00 PM.
AMATEUR SOUP COOK OFF

There’s nothing like a tasty bowl of soup on winter’s day and you can enjoy a bunch of them at one place at the PotashCorp Wintershines 2013 Soup Cook-Off. According to Anthony McCarthy, President of the Canadian Culinary Federation Saskatoon Branch – “It’s winter! But this is a time the gloves come off as the chefs prepare to do battle! Our best chefs are ready to throw down the ladles and see who's got what it takes to win the most coveted prize of the year, the 2013 Saskatoon Soup Master title”.
